Job Description:

   Our client, a leading producer of specialty wire products, is seeking an Eastern Regional Accounts Manager. This is an exciting position offering future career growth opportunity. Basic position responsibilities include:

Overview of Position

As part of the North American sales team, the Eastern Account Manager is responsible for further developing existing OEM and contract manufacturing customers in the medical, automotive, and other strategic markets. The goal is to increase sales and profitability by promoting our broad product portfolio, technical and logistical expertise. 

Account Managers with our company:

Conduct business in a professional, enthusiastic and ethical manner

Promote the product portfolio in a way that is in alignment with the company’s offerings, capabilities and overall marketing strategy

Develop new business through direct sales calls. This process involves qualifying customers and markets, making direct customer contact, building client rapport, and securing repeating business through long-term agreements

Expand sales to existing accounts by creating and maintaining individual account strategies, improving existing products and programs, introducing new products and services, and providing timely and comprehensive support to resolve and avoid issues

Contribute intelligence to the overall market strategy by monitoring and reporting on customer and competitor activities

Work with inside sales and logistics personnel to ensure that customer requirements and expectations are fulfilled

Leverage the company’s manufacturing, technical and logistical expertise to provide solutions to problems and maximize our value to the customer

Participate in various educational opportunities to improve job knowledge and performance

 

Development Potential

            Over the next five years, the company plans to significantly increase the size of our business in the United States. Both European and United States manufacturing capabilities are actively being increased and the product portfolio is being expanded. These activities will bring the need for more sales and sales management personnel. The Eastern Account Manager will be expected to work toward achieving a larger role within the company.

Qualifications and Competencies

          A college degree in business or engineering is preferred

          5+ years sales experience, preferably with metal products

          Interest in manufacturing, metallic materials, and industrial processing

          Strong organization, communication and teamwork skills

Self-motivated and disciplined to work in alignment with company strategies and protocols

Ability to work with detailed product specifications, standards, and financial reporting

Willingness to develop new skills and understand new technology as they develop

Competency with Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. SAP experience is a plus
